Terms & Conditions
Effective Date: 25 August 2026
These Terms & Conditions apply to programmes and services provided by PixieTeach Academy, operated by Pixie Academy.
By enrolling in a programme and completing payment, you confirm that you have read and agreed to these Terms & Conditions.
1. Enrolment & Placement
Students are required to complete the PixieTeach placement process before their learning level is confirmed. Placement may be based on a trial class, speaking assessment, written activity, teacher observation, or other appropriate assessment.
A class place is confirmed only after full payment has been received.
2. Programme Schedule
Programme schedules, including class days and times, are provided before enrolment. Students should ensure they can attend the selected schedule before making payment. Late enrolment is not permitted once a programme has started.
PixieTeach Academy may make reasonable timetable changes when necessary. Students will be informed as early as possible.
3. Class Size
Group programmes are designed as small online classes with a maximum of 6 students. Actual attendance may vary from class to class.
4. Programme Progression
Some programmes are designed to complete one full English level.
Students may be required to complete:
a Progression Assessment before moving to the next module; and/or
a Final Assessment before completing the full level.
Progression depends on assessment performance, attendance, participation, and completion of required learning tasks. Enrolment does not automatically guarantee progression or level completion.
5. Payment
Full payment is required before enrolment is confirmed. Partial payment is not accepted unless specifically agreed by PixieTeach Academy. Prices shown at checkout are the applicable programme prices at the time of purchase.
Payments may be processed by third-party providers. Any bank, card, foreign exchange, or payment-provider charges outside PixieTeach Academy’s control are the student’s responsibility.
6. Introductory Offers & Discounts
Promotional or introductory discounts may be subject to eligibility requirements, expiry dates, or promotional codes.
Discounts:
must be applied before payment;
cannot normally be combined unless stated otherwise; and
cannot be applied retrospectively after payment has been completed.
7. Cancellation & Refund Policy
A student’s class place is reserved once payment is received. PixieTeach Academy may incur payment-processing, administration, learning-material, platform, and teacher-arrangement costs before the programme begins. Refund eligibility therefore depends on when the cancellation request is received.
22 days or more before the programme start date: Up to 80% of the programme fee may be refunded.
15–21 days before the programme start date: Up to 50% of the programme fee may be refunded.
14 days or less before the programme start date: Programme fees are non-refundable.
Once a programme has started, fees are non-refundable except where required by applicable law. Cancellation requests must be submitted in writing. A full refund may be considered in exceptional circumstances at the discretion of PixieTeach Academy or where required by applicable law. Approved refunds may exclude non-recoverable administrative, payment-processing, currency-conversion, learning-material, platform, or other third-party charges. Approved refunds will normally be processed within 14 working days.
8. Transfers & Deferment
Requests to transfer or defer enrolment may be considered in exceptional circumstances. Approval is not automatic and depends on class availability, timing, programme structure, and whether learning materials or platform access have already been activated. Any approved transfer must be confirmed by PixieTeach Academy in writing.
9. Attendance & Missed Classes
Students are encouraged to attend all scheduled classes and join on time.Group classes will continue as scheduled even if an individual student is absent. Missed group classes are not refundable and individual replacement lessons are not normally provided. Repeated lateness or absence may affect participation records, assessment eligibility, or progression.
10. Private 1-to-1 Classes
Private lessons offered under the Focus programme are subject to teacher availability. Students who need to reschedule a private lesson should provide at least 24 hours’ notice. Late cancellations or no-shows may be counted as completed lessons.
11. Teachers
Classes are taught by qualified native or first-language English teachers with recognised teaching qualifications such as CELTA, TEFL, TESOL, or equivalent. Teacher assignment may vary according to level, programme, timetable, and availability.
PixieTeach Academy may assign a replacement teacher when necessary.
12. Online Learning Requirements
Students are responsible for having:
a stable internet connection;
a suitable device;
working microphone and audio;
a suitable learning environment; and
access to any required software or platforms.
Personal technical issues do not normally qualify for a refund or replacement class.
13. Learning Materials & Spark
Students may receive access to digital learning materials and Spark according to their programme. Spark access is intended only for the registered student and may not be transferred or shared. Digital access is subject to the relevant platform provider’s own terms and availability.
14. Class Conduct
Students are expected to communicate respectfully with teachers, staff, and other learners.
Harassment, abusive behaviour, discrimination, repeated disruption, sharing of private information, or inappropriate use of class communication channels may result in removal from the programme.
Serious misconduct may result in termination of enrolment without refund.
15. Intellectual Property & Recording
Course materials, worksheets, slides, digital resources, class links, and other learning materials are for the registered student’s personal educational use only. Students may not record, reproduce, distribute, sell, or publicly share class content or learning materials without written permission.
